I am a first time Notary Applicant, how do I become a Florida Notary Public? First time applicants must complete the "Online Education Course" provided by the State of Florida- it is a comprehensive Education Course which will take three hours and upon completion you will be provided a "certificate" from the website which must be attached to your application. Online Education Course is provided through the State of Florida and it is not a test. You do not have to complete it at one sitting- please make sure you logout after each session so you can pickup where you left off.

Section 668.50(11)(b), Florida Statutes, states, “A first-time applicant for a notary commission must submit proof that the applicant has, within 1 year prior to the application, completed at least 3 hours of interactive or classroom instruction, including electronic notarization, and covering the duties of the notary public.”

What does it cost to become a Notary Public? With our service the total cost depends on your choice of Packages on the Order Page. The Package Price includes all of your State Filing Fees, and Premium for your Notary Bond as required by the State and your choice of your Notary Seal- That is your total cost!

What happens once I complete the application and mail it to you? We are processing our applications within 24-48 hours after we receive it from you and depending on the USPS delivery time, you should have your complete notary package in about 4 weeks (We also have an Express Service which will guarantee your Notary Seal in 7-10 business days via Fedex). You will receive two packages: your stamp/seal and embosser is mailed directly from the manufacturer for the fastest service and your Certificate and Notary package is mail from our facility immediately upon receipt from the State.

I am not a US Citizen, can I still become a Notary? Yes. You must complete and attach a copy of your Declaration of Domicile. This can be done at your County Courthouse.

Why is E&O Insurance so important? Your E&O (Errors & Omissions) Insurance provides coverage not limited to legal fees but damages in the event that you are blamed for any Notarial act that your perform. (Whether right or wrong if you are sued, you will have to go to court to defend yourself!) We feel it is important because we live in such a legal society where everyone and anyone can be the subject of a lawsuit. Click here for more information.

Can I email or fax you the application? No. The State requires original signatures on your application so you must mail in the application package to complete the process.

I want to overnight my application to you, what is your street address? For our office address click here.

If I have a Felony Conviction, or an arrest can I still apply to become a Florida Notary?  (Question #6 on the Notary Public application) Yes.When completing your application, please indicate and attach a detailed explanation along with any court documents.
